Now I live in my nativetown.Samara is a big city in the European part of Russia.It was founded in 1586 as a fortress onthe Volga River.My native town is located on theleft bank of the longest river in Europe.Samara isa river port.It stands on two rivers - the Volgaand the Samara.The population of Samara isover 1, 5 million people.This is the town of greatbeauty.Now Samara is a big industrial center with all thefeatures of the modern city.There are manyplants, factories in our town.
They producedifferent kinds of things.The ball - bearing plants,motor -building plants, the chocolate factoriesand many others.Samara is the town of students.There are manyschools, col¬leges, institutes and universities.Asfor me, I study at the Samara State University.Our town is the great cultural center.
There aremany theatres, museums, historical places, manypublic libraries.
There are many places of interestin our town.The heart of Samara is Samarskydistrict.
There is a monument of Glory here.Youcan see a Kuibyshev's monument on KuibyshevSquare;
 it is a column with the figure ofKuibyshev on its top.There are many parks andgardens in our town.
